Golf Instruction

Centennial Golf Course offers comprehensive instruction programs for all ages and abilities. Personalized instruction is available in individual and group settings, through private instruction, clinics, and golf schools. All instruction is directed by our experienced teaching staff.

Director of Instruction Des Mahoney is a PGA member and two-time PGA Teacher of the Year (Tennessee and Hawaii). With over 22 years of experience teaching golf, one of his best assets is a high level of enthusiasm for helping golfers improve their games.

Des has studied under some of the games best instructors including David Leadbetter, Hank Haney, Chuck Cook and Rick Smith. He has been nominated for Golf Magazine's Top 100 Teachers and is listed in the Top Teachers in Tennessee by Golf Digest. Des is also a contributor to Golf Illustrated Magazine, PGA Magazine, East Tennessee Golf News, and USA Today.
